You will need a domain ( and website hosting (the actual place on the internet where your website files live) set up for AuthorSites.

If you already have this you can go on to the next step.

If you’re not sure which hosting to use we recommend SiteGround. They’re very well priced for the value they provide and they allow easy access if our support team needs to help you out as well.

Select GrowBig or GoGeek.

Do NOT select StartUp as we will not easily be able to have access to your site and help you if needed. Also, for the extra $2 a month GrowBig is more than worth it.

Fill in the information, make payment and buy a domain name ( for your website as well if you need one.

Adding AuthorSites support as a collaborator

To get our help to jump in and help you set things up if needed, you’ll need to add our support email as a collaborator to your website.

To add a collaborator to your site, go to your Client Area, click on your profile icon and select Manage Users. Then, click on the Add New User button and a pop-up window will appear where you can select the collaborator option.

Next, select the website which you want to give the collaborator access to.

  1. Add a name like AuthorSites Support
  2. Add the email address in the next fields too
  3. Click Add.

We will then receive an email invitation to create be a collaborator on your hosting account.
